When we designed the first Transporter 65 years ago, it succeeded in capturing both the imagination and needs of professionals. The new Transporter continues this trend with a striking new design, supported by clear contours and precise lines. Its interior is packed full of innovations and modern-day technology to assist your working day.

New generation engine and design

The new Transporter design offers an exceptionally striking look, making a powerful statement in any line of work. The new generation of engines offer impressively low fuel consumption � from 7.4 L/100km. The standard engine is a 2.0L 103kW/340Nm, while an optional Bi-TDI 132kW/400Nm engine also available and you will appreciate spending less time off the road and more time on the job with flexible service intervals (up to 40,000kms).

All new interior

Ergonomically designed interior for improved driver and passenger comfort and a passenger car like feel. Everything is intelligently arranged, within easy reach, and has a high-quality finish. The new cockpit offers numerous storage options to help plan your working day, while other standard features include a front passenger bench seat, cruise control, leather multi-function steering wheel, dash mounted gear lever, Bluetooth and front and rear park aid with rear view camera.

Functionality and versatility

The new Transporter adapts perfectly to every transport task. Two wheelbases and three roof variants allow a load compartment volume ranging from 5.8 to 9.3 m3, payload over 1,000kg on special orders and braked towing capacity is a class leading 2,500kg (towbar preparation as standard equipment). The rear tailgate (1,473mm wide) and dual rear sliding doors (1,017mm wide) simplify loading and unloading.

Only 4WD in its class

The new generation 4MOTION all-wheel drive (optional) offers enhanced driving dynamics and safety when operating in less than ideal conditions and features the latest gearbox generation Haldex clutch. The optional 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG) enables super smooth gear changing with no interruption in power flow.

Advanced driver assistance systems

Support is there for you in critical situations and everyday driving, with standard features including driver and front passenger airbags, automatic post collision braking, rest assist, daytime driving lights, ESP (electronic stability program) with hill hold, ABS (anti-lock braking), EDL (electronic diff lock front) and ASR (anti-slip regulation).
